How to Register All DLL or OCX Files in a Directory
Occasionally one of my applications may not work correctly, throw a DLL error or OCX error. I’ll re-register that, then another will pop up. The quick fix is to just re-register all the DLL and/or OCX files in the directory.
- Open a command prompt as a computer administrator
- Browse to the directory that contains the offending DLL and/or OCX files
- Run this command (substitute ocx for dll if that’s what you’re trying to register):
for %1 in (*.dll) do regsvr32 /s %1
